Ryman Hospitality Properties is teaming up with Blake Shelton to bring a third Ole Red location to Gatlinburg, Tennessee! Featuring Shelton-inspired food, drink, music and retail, Ole Red Gatlinburg is a 16,000-square-foot entertainment venue with a two-story bar and restaurant, retail area, performance space, dance floor and exterior terrace. The General Manager is responsible for all daily operational and guest experiences at Ole Red (a restaurant, bar, and entertainment destination).  He/she will monitor the development, implementation and execution of the business strategies. This includes all aspects of unit operations: service strategy, operational budget and sales strategies, entertainment strategy and programming, culinary, restaurants/bars, retail, and banquets/catering. The General Manager will grow revenue and maximize the financial performance of the attraction through products and services that meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the target customer.

– Organize and lead all staff and operations of the restaurant
– Provide overall leadership and support for all restaurant, retail and management functions by creating the appropriate culture and character of the venue through his/her own influence
– Ensure positive guest service in all areas
– Respond to complaints, taking all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
– Actively participle in the attraction, selection, development, and retention of restaurant staff and management
– Develop direct reports by communicating performance expectations and delivering timely feedback
– Create and execute revenue enhancing opportunities to produce new possibilities in all areas of operations
– Partner with company leadership to prepare annual budgets, as well as conduct P&L oversight/management
– Develop long and short-term plans for revenue growth and cost control measures
– Ensure that the restaurant, as well as individual departments meet or exceed all financial budgeted expectations
– Establish systems are in place for all inventories/controls
– Work with internal business partners to provide oversight and support for all entertainment programming
– Maintain a positive attitude while remaining objective in all circumstances
– Communicate and uphold all corporate standards, guidelines, policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
– Manage the security function to protect the assets of the restaurant and the personal safety of the employees and guests
– Facilitate proper communication and organization within the venue, as well as to and from the corporate office
– Provide conflict resolutions in a positive, effective manner
– Ensure compliance with corporate standards to maintain a working environment that is free of discrimination and harassment
– Manage physical facility to ensure proper maintenance and repair
– Maintain personal integrity by abiding by and supporting the values and principals of the company
– Support high level of community involvement and partnership via personal and/or team presence and participation at designated events/functions
– Ensure that all special events are executed properly, to the client’s satisfaction
– Perform other duties as assigned



– High school diploma required
– College degree is preferred; BS degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable
– A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative


– Minimum five years of progressive restaurant management experience
– Proficient knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
– Aloha Point of Sale, Compeat and Hot Schedules experience a plus
– Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security,     company policies and procedures, personnel management, record keeping, and preparation of reports desired

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

– Strong understanding of all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests
– Outstanding leadership, communication and training skills
– Ability to establish clear direction, set goals, monitor progress and measure results
– Passion for the hospitality business and compassion for people
– Capable of creating fun in a fast-paced and stressful environment
